How to buy electricity using Nedbank
Most times we don’t have the strength to go out and pay for our electricity bills. It has become very easy to pay for electricity in the comfort of your home. This just involves having a bank account and a phone which could either be internet-enabled or not. Follow the steps I am going to list out below to pay your power bills.

How to buy electricity using Nedbank 

Through Internet Banking

If your internet banking with Nedbank is active then log in to their website and

-Click on the Prepaid Services menu.
-Select Electricity Purchases.
-Choose Purchase Now.

Through SMS Banking 

This doesn’t require any internet services but you need to register your prepaid electricity meter. This is how to register it;

-Dial 120001#
-Select Reply and enter 4 to choose Prepaids. Click Reply again to bring out another menu.
-Click Reply and enter 2 to choose Prepaid Electricity. Click Reply again to bring out another menu.
-Select Reply and enter 3 to choose Register meter. Click Reply again.
-Select Reply and enter 1 to accept the terms and conditions.
-Enter your electricity meter number and click on Reply.
-Click Reply and enter your meter number. Click Reply to bring out the next menu.
-Confirm your meter details and submit them.

Now that you have registered your meter it’s time to move to the next step which is paying for electricity bill through USSD.

-Dial 120001#
-Enter 4 to choose Pre-paids by clicking on Reply.
-Select Reply, enter 2 to choose Prepaid Electricity.
-In the next menu, enter 1 to choose Make Purchase.
-Choose whether you want to pay with a current or savings account by replying with the specific number from the options.
– Select the meter you registered.
-Enter the amount you want to pay for.
-Confirm the Purchase Details.
