Notification is a great feature on Facebook. It helps to update us about any recent activity that goes on in our account. Sometimes this could turn out to be annoying and make you want to turn it off especially if you’re logged to your Facebook app. We will teach how this is done in a very few simple steps.
How to turn off notifications on Facebook
For desktop or PC users (Classic)
- Click at the top-right corner and select Settings.
- Click Notifications on the left.
- Click to adjust how you get notifications and what you get notified about.
For new Facebook users
- Click in the top right of Facebook.
- Select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Click Notifications on the left.
- Click to adjust how you get notifications and what you get notified about.
For mobile Facebook app users
- Tap on the three parallel short lines at top right.
- Tap on Settings and Privacy to bring out a drop-down menu.
- Tap on Settings.
- Scroll down till you see Notifications as a sub-heading.
- Tap on Notification Settings.
- Switch on the bar under “Mute Push Notifications“.
