How to get noticed on Pinterest

The key to marketing or making money online is to drive as many visitors as possible to your social media page. To be popular, famous, or noticed at all which is the least word I can use takes some time. You need to be patient, and consistent, and allow time to pass to enable Pinterest to notice you.

How to get noticed on Pinterest

To get noticed on Pinterest, focus on creating engaging content, optimizing for search, and building a consistent strategy. Here’s how to increase visibility:

1. Optimize Your Profile

  • Use a clear, keyword-rich bio and profile name to make it easy for users to find you.
  • Choose a relevant profile picture, ideally a logo if it’s for a brand.

2. Use High-Quality Images and Videos

  • Vertical images (2:3 aspect ratio) perform best on Pinterest.
  • Ensure your visuals are high-quality and eye-catching.
  • Experiment with videos, as they can drive more engagement and often have higher visibility on Pinterest.

3. Leverage Keywords and SEO

  • Pinterest is a search engine, so keyword research is essential. I was able to grow my Pinterest account using this method. Click on the search icon and perform a search, while typing you will be able to see what others have searched, record them down or take a screen shot. Use those search phrases to create a pin.
  • Use relevant keywords in your pin titles, descriptions, and boards to increase searchability.
  • Consider what your target audience is likely searching for and incorporate those terms in your pin title.

4. Pin Consistently

  • Aim to pin regularly, ideally daily, to keep your content fresh and visible.
  • Create multiple pins for a single piece of content to reach different audiences.

5. Join Group Boards and Create Your Own

  • Join group boards relevant to your niche to expand your reach.
  • Create group boards and invite contributors to increase engagement and followers.

6. Use Idea Pins (formerly Story Pins)

  • Idea Pins allow you to share a series of images or videos within a single pin.
  • They stay on your profile permanently and can drive high engagement, as they are favored by Pinterest’s algorithm.

7. Engage with Your Audience

  • Like, comment, and share other users’ pins, especially those in your niche.
  • Respond to comments on your pins to foster engagement and boost visibility.

8. Track Analytics

  • Use Pinterest Analytics to see which pins are performing best and adjust your strategy accordingly.
  • Focus on creating more of the content that’s already resonating with your audience.
