Facebook is the world’s most popular social media website with over 2 billion users from different continents. The main idea behind Facebook is to connect with friends and family. That’s the reason from time to time they tend to show you, people, you may know so you can add them up or they can add you up.
However, that has changed over the years as people now add people they don’t even know up. So expect to see friend requests from people you don’t know or people that you don’t want to be friends with. However, you can put an end to this with a few steps. Follow the procedure below to achieve this.
How do I turn off friend requestsÂ
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Click on Settings which can be seen from the top right of your PC screen. For smartphone users, tap on the three short parallel lines.
- Click on Privacy.
- Click on Who can send me friend requests and set it to Friends of Friends. Once this is done, only those who have mutual friends with you can send you friend requests. Those who don’t have any friends from your friend’s list won’t be able to see the Add friend button.
